And overnight oats are probably the best breakfast meal preppers can enjoy. Not only is it a nutritious meal with the right amount of proteins, it’s also incredibly delicious and arguably the best way to enjoy oatmeal. But what if it could be even better? This overnight oats recipe adds Nutralite chocolate spread to the mix, giving it a delicious twist for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Gather the ingredients you’ll need beforehand and keep them ready to prepare this oats recipe. Especially since this is an overnight recipe where you’ll be doing most of the work the night before.
A bowl of rolled oats 1
A glass of milk 1
A cup of yoghurt/dahi 1
Chia Seeds 2 tbsps
Sea Salt 1 tbsp
This is probably one of the easiest recipes with oats you’ll have to make. All you’ll have to do is follow these instructions and you’re set for a nutritious breakfast in the morning!
Add all the ingredients into a tall jar or glass. The proportions we recommend are 1:1 ratio between oats and milk, with half as much yoghurt. In case you don’t want to use yoghurt, you can add an additional ¼ cup of milk. So if you’re adding ½ cup of oats to the jar, add ½ cup of milk and ¼ cup of yoghurt to it.
You’ll want to layer this correctly, so the first layer has to be the rolled oatmeal. Followed by a tbsp of chia seeds, a tbsp of salt, the yoghurt and two spoons of Nutralite choco spread. You can use either of the two available flavours here. Nutralite choco spread goes incredibly well with oats breakfast recipes because regardless of whether you choose the choco spread enriched with calcium, or the crunchy quinoa variant, it provides essential nutrients that will keep you going throughout the day. Nutralite choco spread serves as a substitute for maple syrup and other sweeteners here, accentuating the overnight oats benefits you’ll derive from the healthy goodness of their ingredients.
Pour half a glass of milk into the mix and then stir it thoroughly. Cover the jar or glass with a lid and store it in the refrigerator overnight. If you’re in a rush, you can shorten the soak time to 2-4 hours.
The next morning, shake the oatmeal mix or stir it with a spoon thoroughly. Your oats for breakfast are ready for consumption. That’s it. That’s how you make overnight oats. Enjoy a delicious, healthy meal. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, after all!
